Signed picture of Albert Scanlon Busby Babe and Manchester United footballer.

Albert Scanlon. This is a lovely item a postcard sized signed picture of Albert Scanlon the former Manchester United footballer. The picture is taken from a recent Manchester United footbal book and has been genuinely hand-signed by the former Busby Babe using a fine black pen. Albert kindly signed this and several other items for me when I met him at a Man United former players reunion dinner at Old Trafford. Albert survived the incident that later became known as the Munich air disaster.and was fortunate to escape with just a fractured skull, a broken leg and kidney damage. He made a full recovery and was back in action at the start of the following season, going on to appear in every game that season, scoring 16 goals in the process. Scanlon played 127 games for United between 1954/55 and 1960/61 scoring 35 goals. Albert Scanlon died on the 22nd December 2009.  The Carlo Sartori signed picture can also be purchased on this site.
