Ray Wilson. This is a fabulous A4 size colour picture of Ray Wilson the former Everton & England footballer. This picture is taken from a Charles Buchan or similar football book of the time and shows a scene from the England training camp prior to the 1966 World Cup tournament. The picture has a fabulous example of the Wilson signature in black ink. Wilson caused intrigue after his playing days ended by building a successful undertaker's business in Huddersfield. Wilson played 266 league games for Huddersfield town between 1952-64 before moving to Everton where he played 116 league games between 1964 and 1969. In all Wilson played 63 times for England. On 15 May 2018, Wilson died in a care home in Huddersfield from Alzheimer's disease after suffering from the condition for 14 years.
