Signed picture of Bert Trautmann the Manchester City footballer.

This is a fabulous small postcard size Signed picture of Bert Trautmann the former Manchester City footballer. This picture, which depicts Bert in full flight, is from a more modern book as opposed to a Charles Buchan magazine and has a really fine example of the Bert Trautmann autograph signed in fine black sharpie. Bert Trautmann played 508 league games for Manchester City between 1949 and 1964. Signing for City in post war England Trautmann caused quite a stir, however, his brave keeping won over even the most die-hard of City fans during his 15 seasons with the club. A typical example of the bravery of Trautmann was that he played the last 15 mins of the 1956 FA Cup Final without realising he had broken his neck!  Bert Trautmann died in July 2013.
