Signed picture of Peter Swan the Sheffield Wedsnesday footballer.

Peter Swan.  This is a terrific half A4 size, action picture signed by Peter Swan the Sheffield Wednesday footballer. This picture is taken from a Charles Buchan Football Album of the time and depicts a scen between Wednesday and the Manchester United Busby Babes. This picture has been personally signed for me in blue ink.  Swan played 275 league games for Sheffield Wednesday FC between 1955 to 1972 he was also capped 19 times by England.  However despite his ability as a top class player he will be mostly remembered for his involvement in a betting scandal that led to him being banned from football for eight years between 1964 and 1972.  Peter was always very accommodating when I used to write to him, he sadly passed away in January 2021.
