Signed picture of Jackie Blanchflower the Busby Babe & Manchester United footballer.

Jackie Blanchflower. This is a really fabulous item. I have mounted a reproduced large postcard size colour picture of Jackie Blanchflower the former Manchester United footballer on an A4 piece of light green card. This item is copied from a document given to me when I attended the opening of the MUFC museum. The document consists of a series of folding pictures of all those players involved in the horrible Munich plane crash. I used to write to Jackie regularly and he has signed this item in blue ink but also corrected the text saying “should be 2 championships 1955/56 and 1956/57”. As I said a fabulous item and I would go as far as to say unique. He took over in goal in the 1957 FA Cup Final while Ray Wood received treatment for an injury suffered in a collision with Peter McParland, who scored both of Aston Villa's goals as United lost 2–1. Jackie Blanchflower played 105 leagues games for United between 1951 and 1958 scoring 26 times. Jackie Blanchflower also played for Northern Ireland on 12 occasions. Jackie Blanchflower died in September 1998 aged just 65 yrs. Great piece of Busby Babe and MUFC memorabilia.
