Graham Shaw. This is a really fabulous near A4 size colour picture portrait of Graham Shaw the former Sheffield United footballer. This picture is taken from a Charles Buchan football monthly magazine of the time and is very nicely signed by Graham Shaw in blue ink. Shaw made his debut for the Blades against fierce rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on 5 January 1951 before a crowd of 65,384; United won the match 3–1. He was part of the United team which beat Wednesday 7–3 on 8 September 1951 at Bramall Lane. Shaw would make in excess of 400 appearances for United over the following sixteen years; however, he found first-team opportunities limited after 1965, and in 1967 moved to Doncaster Rovers. Graham Shaw played 442 leagues games for United between 1951 and 1967, scoring 12 goals. Shaw also won 12 full caps for England. Graham Shaw died in 1998. Fabulous collectors’piece.
